    Roisin Conaty Biography
    Roisin Conaty is an English comedian, actress, and writer. She gained recognition in 2010 when she won the Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Festival for her show Hero, Warrior, Fireman, Liar. From 2013 to 2017, Conaty portrayed the character Jo in the Channel 4 sitcom Man Down. She is also the writer, lead actress, and executive producer of the sitcom GameFace, which aired its pilot on Channel 4 in 2014. The first full series premiered in 2017 on E4 and Hulu. Conaty has received acclaim for her comedic talents, winning the Heat magazine's 'Unmissables Comedian of the Year' award in 2019. Additionally, she appeared as Roxy in the first two series of the Netflix comedy-drama After Life. Conaty was born in Camden, London, to Irish parents and studied film at Middlesex University.
