Rolfe Sedan Biography
Rolfe Sedan (born Edward Sedan on January 20, 1896) was an American character actor known for his bit parts in films and television. He often played roles such as clerks, train conductors, postmen, cooks, and waiters. Sedan started his career in vaudeville and nightclub performances before transitioning to East Coast theater. He made his Broadway debut in 1916 and appeared in his first film for Metro Pictures Corporation in 1921. Notably, Sedan portrayed the hotel manager in the film Ninotchka (1939) starring Greta Garbo. He also had an uncredited role in the musical remake of Ninotchka, Silk Stockings (1957). Sedan made numerous uncredited appearances in various other films and TV shows throughout his career.
