Roman Kariolou
Roman Kariolou (born 1983) is a Cypriot pianist and composer known for his work in TV and film. With a specialization in TV and documentary film music, he has composed for notable TV series such as BBC, CBS, ZDF, ORF, Discovery Channel, Arte, and RAI. Since 2007, Kariolou has written incidental and theme music for over fifty TV films and series, as well as numerous documentaries. He has also composed official songs and music for sport and media opening ceremonies, including the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and the official song for the EHF's Champions League. Kariolou began his musical journey at a young age, receiving violin lessons at three and being invited to the Yehudi Menuhin School at the age of five. He has performed in various cities across Europe and studied at prestigious institutions such as the Musikhochschule Lübeck and the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien.
