Ron Hayes
Ron Hayes (February 26, 1929 – October 1, 2004) was an American television actor known for his work in various TV shows. He was also an activist in the environmental movement and played a significant role in establishing the first Earth Day, observed on April 22, 1970. Hayes was a member of the Sierra Club and helped found the ecological interest group Wilderness World. On television, he had recurring roles in shows like Bat Masterson as Wyatt Earp (1959-1961) and portrayed Lincoln Vail in the series The Everglades (1961). He also appeared on Gunsmoke, Don't Call Me Charlie!, The Rounders (1966), The High Chaparral, and Death Valley Days.
