Ron Rifkin, born Saul M. Rifkin on October 31, 1939, is an American actor known for his roles in various TV shows and movies. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Arvin Sloane in the spy drama Alias, and as Saul Holden in the drama series Brothers & Sisters. Rifkin also appeared as District Attorney Ellis Loew in the film L.A. Confidential. Born in New York City, Rifkin was raised in an Orthodox Jewish family but left Orthodoxy at the age of 32. He is married to Iva Rifkin, who owns a fashion design business. Rifkin began his association with Touchstone Television in 2001, playing Sloane in Alias, and continued to make appearances in various TV shows over the years.
