Ron Silver Biography
Ron Silver (July 2, 1946 – March 15, 2009) was an American actor, director, producer, and radio host. He is known for his portrayals of Henry Kissinger, Alan Dershowitz, and Angelo Dundee. In 1988, he won a Tony Award for Best Actor for his role in the satirical play Speed-the-Plow, which examined the American movie industry. Born in Manhattan, New York, Silver was raised in the Lower East Side and attended Stuyvesant High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Chinese from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a master's degree in Chinese History from St. John's University and the Chinese Culture University. Silver also studied acting at the Herbert Berghof Studio and The Actors Studio.
