Ronald Isley (born May 21, 1941) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as the lead singer and founding member of the family music group The Isley Brothers. Born in 1941, Isley began his career in the church and won a $25 war bond for singing at a spiritual contest at a young age. By his early teens, Isley was performing with his brothers on church tours and appeared on TV on Ted Mack's Amateur Hour. In 1957, he and his brothers moved to New York to pursue a music career. Ronald Isley has made significant contributions to the music industry through his soulful vocals and songwriting abilities.
