Ronny Chieng

Ronny Chieng is a Malaysian Chinese comedian and actor born on November 21, 1985. He is known for his work as a senior correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Show and as the creator and star of the ABC sitcom Ronny Chieng: International Student. Chieng grew up in both Singapore and the United States, living in Manchester, New Hampshire from 1989 to 1994. He attended Pioneer Secondary School and Pioneer Junior College in Singapore before studying at the University of Melbourne in Australia, where he graduated in 2009 with degrees in finance and law. Chieng has also performed alongside Trevor Noah in several comedy shows.
