Rooney Mara

Rooney Mara is an American actress known for her roles in various critically acclaimed films. Born on April 17, 1985, Mara comes from the Rooney and Mara families. She began her acting career with television and independent films, including the coming-of-age drama Tanner Hall (2009). Mara gained recognition for her supporting role in the drama film The Social Network (2010) directed by David Fincher. She had a breakthrough with her portrayal of Lisbeth Salander in Fincher's thriller The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), which earned her an Academy Award nomination.
