Rory O'Malley Biography
Rory James O'Malley (born December 23, 1980) is an American actor best known for his Tony Award-nominated performance as Elder McKinley in The Book of Mormon. He is also a co-founder of the gay rights activist group Broadway Impact. O'Malley was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised by his single mother, of Irish ancestry. He attended Saint Ignatius High School and Carnegie Mellon University, where he became friends with actors Josh Gad and Leslie Odom Jr. O'Malley made a small cameo appearance in On the Run in 2004 and had a notable role in the 2007 film adaptation of Dreamgirls. He also appeared in Lifetime's American Princess as a series regular in 2018.
