Rosanny Zayas

Rosanny Zayas is an American actress known for her role as Sophie Suarez on The L Word: Generation Q (2019–2023). She has also appeared in The Code, Orange Is the New Black, and Elementary. Zayas was born in Brooklyn and raised in Ozone Park, Queens, New York to an Afro-Dominican family. She attended Forest Hills High School, where she discovered her passion for acting in the drama club. Zayas pursued her acting education at Queens College and later graduated from the Juilliard School with a master's degree in fine arts. Her breakout role came with her performance in José's Marisol at Juilliard, which earned her recognition in the New York theater scene. Zayas has also showcased her talent on stage, including a memorable performance as Helena in the Public Theater Mobile Unit's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in 2018.
