Rosemary Clooney (May 23, 1928 – June 29, 2002) was an American singer and actress. She gained fame in the early 1950s with popular songs like 'Come On-a My House', 'Botch-a-Me', and 'Mambo Italiano'. Clooney also found success as a jazz vocalist. Her career experienced a decline in the 1960s due to personal struggles with depression and drug addiction, but she made a comeback in 1977 when she appeared alongside Bing Crosby in a show celebrating his 50th anniversary in show business. Clooney continued recording until her death in 2002. Born in Maysville, Kentucky, she came from a Catholic family and had Irish, German, English, and Irish heritage.
