Ross Gaynor is an Irish professional footballer born on September 9, 1987, in Ardee, County Louth. He began his football career playing for juvenile teams such as Square United and Ardee Celtic before joining Belvedere. Gaynor started his professional career with Millwall in the Football League. He later had loan spells at Sutton United and Cobh Ramblers before signing for Sporting Fingal in December 2008. Gaynor joined Drogheda United on loan in July 2009 and eventually signed for Dundalk in February 2010. In December 2011, he moved to Sligo Rovers where he played as a left back and played a crucial role in securing the team's first league title in 35 years.
