Roy Vongtama

Roy Vongtama is an American professional actor and board-certified radiation oncologist. He was born and raised in Orchard Park, a suburb of Buffalo, and currently resides in Santa Monica, CA. Vongtama began his acting career in 2001, appearing on ABC's reality show The Ultimate Love Test. He has since made TV appearances on NBC's Windfall, FX's The Shield, and TLC's Untold Stories of the ER, where he had a recurring role. In film, Vongtama was a lead actor in the independent feature The Wrath and appeared in Warner Bros.'s The Bucket List alongside Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. He has also worked in theater and recorded audio books. Vongtama graduated magna cum laude with a BA in the Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996 and earned his medical degree from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine in 2000. He completed his residency training at UCLA.
