Rukiya Bernard Biography
Rukiya Bernard is a Canadian actress, producer, and interior designer, born on January 20, 1983, in Toronto, Ontario. She is best known for her role as Doc in Syfy's Van Helsing, as well as her appearances in films such as The Cabin in the Woods (2012), The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008), and Stuck (2007). Rukiya's passion for the arts began at a young age, participating in sports, ballet, karate, and piano. She graduated with honors from Ryerson University's theatre program. Her acting career started with a supporting role in the film Our America. Rukiya has also made appearances in popular TV shows like Supernatural, The Returned, Fairly Legal, The Gourmet Detective, Eureka, and more.
