Rupert Frazer Biography
Rupert Frazer (born 12 March 1947) is a British actor known for his work in theatre, film, and television. He has performed at renowned theatres such as the Citizens Theatre, the Royal Court Theatre, and the Royal National Theatre. Notably, Frazer portrayed the title role in the first British stage production of Seneca's Thyestes in 1975. His film credits include Richard Attenborough's Gandhi (1982) and Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun (1987), where he played the father of the protagonist. On television, he has appeared in popular shows such as Penmarric (1979), The House of Eliott, and Downton Abbey, among others. Frazer is married and has three children.
