Rupert Graves Biography
Rupert Simeon Graves is an English actor known for his work in film, television, and theatre. Born on June 30, 1963, in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England, Graves has appeared in more than 25 films and over 35 television productions. He gained recognition for his roles in A Room with a View, Maurice, The Madness of King George, and The Forsyte Saga. From 2010 to 2017, Graves starred as DI Lestrade in the BBC television series Sherlock. Prior to his acting career, Graves worked as a circus clown. He received his education at Wyvern Community School in Weston-super-Mare. Graves has also made appearances on stage throughout his career.
