Rush Limbaugh (January 12, 1951 – February 17, 2021) was an American conservative political commentator and radio host. He gained prominence as the host of The Rush Limbaugh Show, which aired from 1984 until his death in 2021. Limbaugh was also a television host from 1992 to 1996. Known for his conservative views, he became one of the most influential voices in American politics during the 1990s. Limbaugh was highly paid, earning $84.5 million in 2018. His radio show attracted an estimated 15.5 million weekly listeners, making it the most-listened-to radio show in the United States. Limbaugh authored seven books, two of which became New York Times Best Sellers.
