Russell Hornsby (born May 15, 1974) is an American actor known for his roles in various TV shows and movies. He gained recognition for portraying Edward 'Eddie' Sutton in ABC Family's Lincoln Heights and Luke in HBO's drama In Treatment. Hornsby also starred as Detective Hank Griffin in the NBC series Grimm and played Carl Gatewood in Showtime's The Affair. His notable movie role includes Lyons in Fences. Born in San Francisco, California, Hornsby was a talented high school football player and track star before discovering his passion for acting. He studied theater at Boston University and then further honed his skills at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford. Hornsby later relocated to New York City to pursue his acting career.
