Ruth Buzzi Biography
Ruth Ann Buzzi (born July 24, 1936) is a retired American actress and comedian. She is best known for her performances on the comedy-variety show Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In from 1968 to 1973, where she won a Golden Globe Award and received five Emmy nominations. Buzzi appeared on stage, in films, and on television throughout her career. She was born in Westerly, Rhode Island to Rena Pauline and Angelo Peter Buzzi, a nationally recognized stone sculptor. Buzzi grew up in Wequetequock, Connecticut and attended Stonington High School. She later graduated from the Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre Arts.
