Ruth Jones is a Welsh actress, comedian, producer, and writer known for her roles in various television series. She gained popularity as the co-writer and co-star of the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey (2007–2010, 2019). Jones also created, wrote for, and starred in the comedy-drama Stella (2012-2017) on Sky One. Her talent and contributions earned her nominations for the BAFTA Award for Best Female Comedy Performance and a win for the BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Screenwriter. Jones has appeared in other notable shows such as Fat Friends, Little Britain, Nighty Night, Saxondale, and The Street. In addition, she was appointed MBE in the New Year Honours for 2014 for her services to entertainment.
