Ruth Sheen

Ruth Sheen is an English actress known for her appearances in British television shows, films, and plays. She gained recognition as a participant in the films of Mike Leigh and won the European Film Award for Best Actress for her role in Leigh's 'High Hopes' (1988). Sheen has had recurring roles in TV shows like 'Berkeley Square' (1998) and 'Bramwell' (1995–1998), as well as appearing in multiple episodes of 'The Bill' (1989–2004). She also played Maureen Tacy in 'Doc Martin' (2002) and Mrs Jones in the drama mini-series 'Fanny Hill' (2007). Sheen has also made appearances in 'Agatha Christie's Poirot' and 'Misfits' (TV Series).
