Ryan Drummond (born January 10, 1973) is an American actor, comedian, singer, clown, mime artist, and theatrical performer. He gained recognition for his portrayal of the original English voice of Sonic the Hedgehog in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise from 1998 to 2004. Drummond was born in Lima, Ohio, and showed an early interest in theater, participating in children's theater during his time at Clague Middle School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in theater in 1995, and subsequently moved to San Diego, California, to pursue his acting career. In 1997, he landed his first television role as DJ Johnny Jam.
