Ryan Francis Biography
Ryan LeChanc Francis (March 17, 1987 – May 13, 2006) was an American college basketball player. He was the starting point guard for the USC Trojans during the 2005–2006 season, averaging 7.1 points, 3.7 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Francis ranked seventh in assists and fifth in steals in the Pac-10 Conference, earning him a spot on the honorable-mention pac-10 all-freshman team. Tragically, he was murdered during a trip to his hometown in Baton Rouge, Louisiana after his freshman season. Prior to his collegiate career, Francis had a successful high school career at Glen Oaks High School, leading his team to a perfect 36–0 record and the Class 4A state title in 2005.
