Ryan Phillippe, born Matthew Ryan Phillippe on September 10, 1974, is an American actor and producer. He gained recognition in the late 1990s for his roles in films like I Know What You Did Last Summer, 54, Playing by Heart, and Cruel Intentions. Throughout the 2000s, Phillippe took on diverse roles in movies such as The Way of the Gun, Antitrust, Gosford Park, Crash, and The Lincoln Lawyer. He also appeared on the TV show Shooter as Bob Lee Swagger from 2016 to 2018. Phillippe was born in New Castle, Delaware. In addition to his film and TV work, he reprised his role as Dixon Piper in the Peacock adaptation of MacGruber in 2021.
