Sahar Biniaz

Sahar Biniaz (born November 17, 1987) is an Iranian-Canadian actress, model, and beauty pageant titleholder. She won the Miss Universe Canada 2012 pageant and also received the Revlon Professional Best Hair award. Biniaz had a recurring role on the popular TV show Sanctuary, portraying the Hindu goddess of power, Kali. Born in Bangalore, India to an Iranian family, she later moved to Vancouver, Canada and became a naturalized Canadian. Biniaz graduated with honors from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting School in Los Angeles. Prior to winning Miss Universe Canada, she competed in the pageant in 2003 and represented Canada in Miss Universe 2008, where she placed 1st runner-up.
