Sam Groom Biography
Sam Groom is an American film and television actor, born in Columbus, Ohio in 1938. He is best known for his roles in various TV shows, including portraying Tom Eldridge in Our Private World (1965), Lee Pollock in The Edge of Night, Dr. Russ Matthews in Another World, and Dr. Simon Locke in the syndicated series Dr. Simon Locke (1971) and its spinoff, Police Surgeon. Groom also appeared on Gunsmoke and played Hal Sterling in the 1980s series Otherworld. In addition to his TV work, Groom was a spokesperson for American Motors in the 1980s and played Joseph Orsini in All My Children in 1993.
