    Sam Retford Biography
    Sam Retford (born 22 June 1999) is an Australian-English actor known for his role as Cory Wilson on the Channel 4 drama Ackley Bridge. He has also appeared in television series including Casualty and Death in Paradise. In 2021, Retford joined the cast of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street as Curtis Delamere. Born in Gosford, New South Wales, Australia, he later moved to Crewe, England with his family. Retford attended Brine Leas High School and studied acting at The Lowry Actors Company. Prior to pursuing acting, he had aspirations of becoming a marine biologist. Retford started his acting career in fringe productions in the Manchester theatre scene and made his television debut in the Hollyoaks spinoff series Hollyoaks: Tom's Life in 2014.
