Sam Richardson
Samuel Richardson, born on January 12, 1984, is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He gained recognition for his role as Richard Splett in the HBO political comedy series Veep from 2012 to 2019. Richardson also co-created and co-starred in the Comedy Central comedy series Detroiters alongside Tim Robinson, which aired from 2017 to 2018. He has appeared in various characters on the Netflix sketch show I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson since 2019. Additionally, Richardson stars as Aniq Adjaye in the Apple TV+ series The Afterparty (2022-present) and as Norville 'Shaggy' Rogers in the Max series Velma (2023-present). He received Emmy nominations in 2022 and 2023 for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance in Ted Lasso. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Richardson has a Ghanaian mother and an African-American father.
