Sam Riley

Sam Riley is an English actor and singer, born on January 8, 1980, in Menston, Bradford, West Yorkshire. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Ian Curtis in the 2007 film Control, which depicted the life of the Joy Division lead singer. Riley's performance in Control earned him numerous awards, including the British Independent Film Award for 'Most Promising Newcomer' and a BAFTA nomination. He further showcased his talent in notable roles such as Sal Paradise in the 2012 adaptation of On the Road and Diaval in the 2014 film Maleficent. Riley also made an impression as Fitzwilliam Darcy in the 2016 film Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
