Sam Scarber Biography
Sam Willis Scarber (born June 24, 1949) is an American actor and former American football fullback in the National Football League (NFL) for the San Diego Chargers. He played college football at the University of New Mexico and was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round (69th overall) of the 1971 NFL Draft. Scarber was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and attended John O'Fallon Technical High School. He moved on to play at Northeastern Junior College before transferring to the University of New Mexico. Scarber showcased his skills as a running back, setting records and leading the conference in rushing yards during his time with the Lobos. Since retiring from football, Scarber has pursued a successful career as an actor.
