Sammy Winward

Sammy Winward, born on October 12, 1985, is a British actress, singer, and model. She gained fame for her portrayal of Katie Sugden in the popular ITV soap opera Emmerdale, a role she played from 2001 to 2015. Born in Bolton, Greater Manchester, Winward attended Turton High School Media Arts College in Bromley Cross, South Turton, England. In addition to her acting career, she also participated in the ITV show Soapstar Superstar in January 2006. Winward was featured in FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World list, ranking at number 73 in late 2006. After leaving Emmerdale, she continues to pursue her career in the entertainment industry.
