Samuel West Biography
Samuel Alexander Joseph West is an English actor, theatre director, and narrator. Born on June 19, 1966, in Hammersmith, London, he is the son of actress Prunella Scales and actor Timothy West, and the grandson of actor Lockwood West. West has worked in various mediums including theatre, film, television, and radio. He has directed both on stage and radio, and has appeared in numerous productions. West has also narrated several documentary series, notably five for the BBC about the Second World War. Additionally, he starred as Siegfried Farnon in the Channel 5 remake of the veterinary drama series All Creatures Great and Small. West studied English literature at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, and was president of the Experimental Theatre Club.
