Sandahl Bergman is an American actress and dancer best known for her role as Valeria in the film Conan the Barbarian (1982), where she won a Golden Globe and a Saturn Award. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, she grew up to be 6ft tall, athletic, and statuesque. Bergman started her career in Broadway shows and caught the eye of choreographer Bob Fosse, who cast her in various productions. In 1978, she made her movie debut in the TV film How to Pick Up Girls! and went on to have roles in films such as Airplane II: The Sequel (1982) and Hell Comes to Frogtown (1988).
