Sara Blakely

Sara Blakely (born February 27, 1971) is an American businesswoman and philanthropist. She is the founder of Spanx, an American intimate apparel company known for its pants and leggings. Born in Clearwater, Florida, Blakely initially aspired to be an attorney but took a different path after scoring low on the Law School Admission Test. She worked at Walt Disney World and also pursued stand-up comedy. Blakely later worked at Danka, an office supply company, where she excelled in sales and became a national sales trainer at the age of 25. In 2000, she founded Spanx and turned it into a successful global brand. Blakely has been recognized for her achievements and philanthropy, appearing on the Time 100 list and Forbes' most powerful women list.
