Sarah Buxton Biography
Sarah Jane Buxton is an American country music singer and songwriter. She was born on July 3, 1980, in Lawrence, Kansas. Buxton began her musical journey as a child, learning piano, playing flute, and joining a children's choir. She developed a passion for songwriting and poetry, which led her to pursue a career in music. Encouraged by her idol, Stevie Nicks, Buxton moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and enrolled at Belmont University. She formed a Southern rock band called Stoik Oak and toured the region for three years. Buxton later signed with Lyric Street Records and released several singles and an extended play. Her self-titled debut album was released in 2010. Buxton is known for her Top 25 single, 'Outside My Window,' and her co-writing credit on Keith Urban's hit 'Stupid Boy.'
