Sarah McLachlan

Sarah Ann McLachlan OC OBC is a Canadian singer-songwriter. Born on January 28, 1968, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was adopted by the McLachlan family. With over 40 million albums sold worldwide, McLachlan is best known for her album Surfacing, which earned her two Grammy Awards and four Juno Awards. Besides her music career, she also founded the Lilith Fair tour, a platform for female musicians. McLachlan began playing music at a young age and studied classical guitar, classical piano, and voice at the Maritime Conservatory of Music. She was also a member of Girl Guides of Canada during her childhood.
