Sarah Jane Millican (born May 29, 1975) is an English comedian, writer, and presenter. She gained recognition in 2008 when she won the comedy award for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Millican has since performed on various tours across the United Kingdom. In addition to her comedy career, she has written a book titled 'How to Be Champion' which was published in 2017. Millican was born and raised in South Shields, England, and attended Mortimer Comprehensive School. Before pursuing comedy, she worked as a civil servant. Millican is married to fellow comedian Gary Delaney.
