Sarah Jane Steele (born September 16, 1988) is an American actress known for her role as Marissa Gold on the CBS legal drama series The Good Wife (2011–2016) and its spinoff series The Good Fight (2017–2022). Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Steele's mother is a hematology oncology physician and her father is an internal medicine physician specializing in nutrition. She graduated from The Episcopal Academy in 2006 and earned a B.A. in English from Columbia University in 2011. Steele had her breakout role in the 2004 film Spanglish and went on to appear in Law & Order and the films Mr. Gibb and Please Give.
