Sarah Vowell Biography
Sarah Jane Vowell (born December 27, 1969) is an American author, journalist, essayist, social commentator, and actress. Known for her contributions to the radio program This American Life, Vowell produced commentaries and documentaries and toured the country for the show's live performances from 1996 to 2008. She has authored seven nonfiction books on American history and culture. Vowell is also recognized for her voice acting work, notably as the voice of Violet Parr in the 2004 animated film The Incredibles and its 2018 sequel. Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Vowell later moved to Bozeman, Montana. She holds a B.A. from Montana State University and an M.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Vowell's articles have been published in various notable publications.
