Satoshi Ishii

Satoshi Ishii (石井 慧) is a Japanese-Croatian judoka, mixed martial artist, kickboxer, and submission grappler. He gained Croatian citizenship in 2019. Ishii rose to prominence after winning the gold medal in Olympic Judo at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics. He also earned a silver medal at the 2006 Asian Games and achieved success in the All-Japan Judo Championships. Ishii made his professional MMA debut in 2009 and currently holds a record of 24–12–1. He has competed in organizations such as Professional Fighters League, Rizin Fighting Federation, and Bellator. Ishii is the current HEAT Heavyweight Champion and SBC Heavyweight Champion. Throughout his career, Ishii has demonstrated exceptional skills in judo and mixed martial arts.
