Scott Hamilton Bairstow is a Canadian former actor known for his roles as Newt Call on Lonesome Dove: The Series and Ned Grayson on Party of Five. Born on April 23, 1970, in Steinbach, Manitoba, Bairstow grew up in a family of professional classical musicians. He began his television career at the age of 10 and later moved to New York City where he landed a role on the soap opera All My Children. Bairstow has appeared in various films and TV shows, including There Was a Little Boy (1993) opposite Cybill Shepherd, The Postman (1997) alongside Kevin Costner, and Two for Texas (1998) with Kris Kristofferson. He also starred in Wild America (1997) alongside Devon Sawa and Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Bairstow has made notable appearances on The X-Files.
