Scott Nicholson

Scott Nicholson (born 1963) is an American author specializing in horror and thriller genres, often set in rural Appalachia. He gained recognition with his debut novel, The Red Church, which was a finalist for the Bram Stoker Award. Nicholson's writing style merges the macabre with science fiction and fantasy elements, showcasing a range from biting satire to sentimentalism. His anthology, Thank you for the Flowers, featured 13 short stories, including the award-winning Vampire Shortstop. Nicholson's works have been included in zombie anthologies edited by James Lowder. His fifth thriller, The Farm, drew inspiration from his experiences in North Carolina and his fascination with Appalachian religions and goats.
