Scott Patterson Biography
Scott Patterson (born September 11, 1958) is an American actor known for his roles in Gilmore Girls, Saw films, The Event, and Alien Nation: Dark Horizon. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Patterson attended Haddonfield Memorial High School and later Rutgers University, where he studied Comparative Literature before leaving to pursue a career in baseball. He studied acting in New York with coaches Robert Lewis and Sondra Lee and was exposed to the teachings of Paul Newman, Arthur Penn, and Frank Corsaro at the Actors Studio. Patterson has appeared in various productions, including Rasputin and Miss Julie.
