Scott Peacock Biography
Scott Peacock (born 1963) is a chef of American Southern cuisine. Born and raised in Hartford, Alabama, Peacock was influenced by Southern cooking and Gulf Coast seafood from a young age. Inspired by Julia Child's television series, he pursued a career as a chef. Peacock started as a pastry chef at Tallahassee's The Golden Pheasant and later worked at the Georgia governor's mansion for four years. He then opened Atlanta's Horseradish Grill and later moved to Watershed restaurant. In 2010, Peacock left Watershed to focus on writing and documentary film. He co-wrote The Gift of Southern Cooking with Edna Lewis in 2003. Lewis lived with Peacock in his Decatur, Georgia home for six years.
