Scott Turow
Scott Frederick Turow (born April 12, 1949) is an American author and lawyer. He has written 13 fiction and three nonfiction books, which have been translated into more than 40 languages and sold over 30 million copies. Turow's novels are primarily set within the legal community of the fictional Kindle County. Several of his books have been adapted into films. Turow was born in Chicago and comes from a family of Russian Jewish descent. He attended New Trier High School and graduated from Amherst College in 1970. Turow later pursued his passion for writing, receiving an Edith Mirrielees Fellowship to Stanford University's Creative Writing Center. He then went on to study at Harvard Law School, where he graduated in 1978.
