Sean Blakemore

Sean Blakemore is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Shawn Butler on the ABC daytime drama General Hospital. He began playing the role on January 21, 2011, initially on a recurring basis but later signed a full-time contract with ABC. Blakemore was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2012 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and won the award in 2016. Born on August 10, 1967, in St. Louis, Missouri, Blakemore attended Hazelwood East High School before pursuing a career in acting. He has also made appearances on popular series such as ER, Monk, The Shield, Cold Case, NCIS, and Bones.
