Sean Whitesell Biography
Sean Whitesell (March 11, 1963 – December 28, 2015) was an American actor, writer, and producer. He was born in Iowa Falls, Iowa and had five brothers. Whitesell graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and later obtained an MFA in acting from the University of California, San Diego. He is best known for his role as Donald Groves, a cannibalistic inmate, in the first season of HBO's 'Oz.' Whitesell was a regular on the show until his character's execution. He later returned to 'Oz' as a writer and producer. Whitesell primarily worked in television, with a few minor film roles. He also wrote and guest-acted on 'Homicide.'
