Sendhil Ramamurthy

Sendhil Amithab Ramamurthy (born May 17, 1974) is an American actor known for his roles in various television shows. He gained recognition for playing the character of geneticist Mohinder Suresh in the NBC sci-fi drama series Heroes. Ramamurthy has also portrayed Gabriel 'Gabe' Lowan in Beauty and the Beast and Jai Wilcox in Covert Affairs. Born in Chicago to Indian immigrant parents, he was raised in San Antonio. Ramamurthy attended Tufts University as a pre-med major but discovered his passion for acting during an 'Intro to Acting' class. Following his graduation, he pursued a career in acting and has since appeared in numerous TV shows and movies.
