Shahadi Wright Joseph is an American actress, singer, and dancer born on April 29, 2005, in Brooklyn, New York. She gained recognition for her starring role in Jordan Peele's horror film Us (2019) and as the voice of Young Nala in Jon Favreau's musical film The Lion King (2019). Joseph started dancing at the age of two and made her Broadway debut as young Nala in The Lion King musical at the age of nine. She also appeared in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical adaptation School of Rock and the NBC musical television special Hairspray Live! In addition to her acting career, Joseph stars as the lead in the podcast Six Minutes. She continues to showcase her talent and versatility in various projects.
